St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteers to help us tackle the problem of substandard housing in our community. We need volunteers who share our vision to eliminate inadequate housing. Be a part of something bigger than yourself. Habitat builds across the globe and each piece of sheetrock or door that is installed is part of a worldwide movement to build homes and communities. You get to see tangible results at the end of each day. Your work results in a wall being built, a family being prepared for first-time homeownership or an empty lot being transformed into a neighborhood. You will develop new skills, as every volunteer learns something while working with us. You will leave a richer person than when you came. The most amazing thing that you get to experience at Habitat is that in every room or every house we build, you can see all the volunteer hands that have made it a reality. We depend on the generosity of local companies and community and religious organizations to help support our work. Most people think of hammers and nails when they think about volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. However, we have a constant need for volunteers in many other areas. Due to the tremendous amount of planning, management, fundraising, etc. required to build just one home, we rely on volunteers to help us in many areas of our day-to-day operations. The unparalleled expertise and dedication of volunteers helps St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity grow and enables us to keep home prices affordable for our future homeowner families.
