Become a Habitat Home Recipient

Habitat for Humanity home ownership provides secure, safe, affordable housing to low-income individuals and families who have been precariously sheltered in substandard, deteriorating, unsafe, and/or overcrowded rental units. Habitat for Humanity believes home ownership is a vital step in creating self-esteem in both families and neighborhoods, and is the most basic way to break successive generations of poverty.

Qualifications

This includes completing hundreds of hours of sweat equity, participating in credit counseling and any additional training sessions that are offered, demonstrating commitment and responsibility, and being a responsible partner. Must live or work in Pierce or St. Croix Counties for a minimum of 6 months prior to making application.
